What a crazy week!

Wow...it's hard to believe it's just been over a week since my last update. So much has happened. Last Saturday morning Sonny, Aliana and I left for Las Vegas....we were there for a whole 45 hours...lol. Mine and Sonny's old roomates from Sacramento (2001) were getting married...we hadn't seen them since 2001, nor had we met their daughter Haylie. It was a very quick trip, but it was nice. The wedding was Saturday afternoon, we had dinner and a reception after. Then Sunday we did a little exploring and walked around the strip a little. We came home Monday morning and I think everyone in our family was ready. We missed the boys terribly, and they were really starting to miss us. It's hard to leave them. But they had a fun weekend with their Nana and Auntie! Here are a couple pictures from Vegas....

Aliana and Haylie before the wedding! (Aliana wasn't too happy)

Bellagio water show. Aliana L-O-V-E-D it!!!

Since we've been back the majority of our family has gotten sick. Isaiah has strep again, this is the third time in two months. I feel so bad for him. He's on another round of antibiotics. After this round we will go back to the doctor and they want to test him again to see if he's a carrier. I'm not sure what that means if it comes back positive?! Hopefully that won't be the case though, I'm hoping we can get this under control and he can get well and stay well. Aliana is also battling a cold, she's a little congested and has a cough. Then today I woke up not feeling well. My throat is a little sore, I'm congested and my voice sounds...manly! How sexy! ;o) So far Sonny and Kaleb are doing well though...*knock on wood!*

I've posted some pictures from this week...the kiddos have been pretty silly! It's early release all this week and next for Kaleb as his school is having parent/teacher conferences, so he gets out at 12:30pm..leaves lots of time for the kids to use their imaginations....lol.

Isaiah had about 7 beanie hats on!

Kaleb and Isaiah had a photoshoot....Isaiah was the photographer!

Aliana loves yogurt!

And mommy and daddy's "margarita" cup from Vegas (don't worry it's been washed and only had some water in it!)

This weekend is going to be pretty uneventful, besides getting the house in order for Thanksgiving. Sonny's family is coming from California, as well as our new brother in law coming from Ft. Hood, my grandpa from Montana, and the rest of our family here in town! It's going to be busy! But I'm looking forward to having everyone together...Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy having big family get-togethers....it doesn't happen often enough! I'm not really looking forward to all that cooking though....but it'll be worth it...Mmmmm!

We got our family pictures back...they are so wonderful! I was starting to feel a little discouraged since the weather wasn't really cooperating...but I was pleasantly suprised with the outcome! We got some great shots. I feel very lucky that we found out about Tara....she really does a fabulous job...and I gained a new friend out of it! If you'd like to see the pictures, please email me and I'll send you the link, you can decide if you want any and which ones, and we'll go from there! :o)

Ok...I'm off to bed! I need to get better..rest will hopefully help! The boys are at our very good friends' house staying with their "best friends ever" (Thanks 'J and J' for taking them both....brave ;o) haha) ...Aliana is sleeping...so I should be too!

Have a great weekend!

Wednesday or Thursday?!?!

The weeks go by so fast already...and now I'm trying to push this one along?!?! For some bizarre reason I cannot get it in my head that today is in fact Wednesday...NOT Thursday...thank goodness for that...I have way to much to do..that I haven't even started yet! Don't get me wrong...I love Thursdays, for a few reasons..1) Late start at school, which means I get a little extra precious zzzzz's 2) Coffee day with my girls....I enjoy coffee day 3) The following day is Friday! :o) But this week I need the extra time...we are going to Las Vegas early Saturday morning and I haven't even located my suitcases, let alone started packing. I don't even have anything to wear for the wedding that we are attending while there....yikes! The boys are going to stay with my mom and sister, Aliana will be with us. So I need to pack for everyone! I better get to moving!! So although I am behind on that....I am AHEAD with work this week...woo-hoo! I'm about 15 min. shy of being able to take Friday off...which is great, because at this rate..I will need the day off to get everything ready for the weekend.

Today is Veteran's day (Thank you to all our service men and women...past and present) and the kids had no school, so instead of sitting inside all day we thought it would be fun to go on a playdate. We met up Jamie and her boys...(or in other words...the boys' "best friends", Thomas and Braeden, and Aliana's future "boyfriend", Kolton.) :o) My sister and her girls came as well. We decided to meet at McDonald's to get out of the house....apparently half of Spokane had the same idea....it was a mad house! But the kids had alot of fun! I should've taken some pictures...but I forgot my camera....maybe next time!

Tomorrow is coffee day...looking forward to that! Friday, Aliana has to get her booster flu shot, then I need to go shopping and find something to wear that is "wedding appropriate." The boys are going to my moms and sisters that evening since we leave really early Saturday morning. We will return Monday morning! So if I don't blog before then....have a great weekend!!!

Here is a picture of Aliana and her cousin A'yana...Monday night! (Thank you Brandi and kiddos for having us over for dinner)

Another weekend over too fast!

Sunday again....already! This weekend wasn't much different from the rest as we were busy...as usual. I'm starting to realize, with 3 kiddos, things don't slow down very often!

Friday night my friend Ruthie, her daughter and 3/4 of the "K" family came over as well! Ruthie just got back from Alaska recently and brought some fish back, so we thought it would be fun to have a fish fry...and we were right. We made some beer batter..fried some halibut, french fries and coleslaw and ate entirely too much! The kids played, the adults visited...it was very enjoyable! haha.

Saturday was the boys' last soccer games...which I am somewhat thankful for, it is getting too cold to be outside for 2 hours! We did their hair to match their teams colors....Aliana was their little cheerleader! (Sonny even did his hair to cheer on the boys 1/2 red, 1/2 green, I forgot to get a picture)

Saturday night we went to some friends' house for dinner! Lots of fun! (Thank you "V" family!)

Then there is today (Sunday)...which let me start by saying...the weather sucked today! We had planned to get some more pictures taken, which we did, but it was cold and rainy! I am just hoping that we got some good ones. Aliana did okay during, not great, but okay, but the second it was over and we got in the car she had quite the meltdown..I guess no nap will do that to a one year old.

So that pretty much sums up the weekend. I am ready for bed...the kids are cranky, and I need to finish my work for the week. Maybe I'll have myself a glass of wine! ;o)

Family Picture Preview

As many of you know, we went and got family pictures taken last week! We've been needing/wanting them done for quite some time now....so instead of putting it off any longer we decided to just do it! I came across the work of an amazing photographer here in town! So last Wednesday we trekked out to a local park (Mirabeau Park) and took some pictures! It was chilly...Aliana fell asleep right before....and the boys were a bit hyper...but we made it work! I actually had a lot of fun!! Photography is something that interests me though...so it was awesome to have a "photo shoot" that didn't include back drops and only 6 poses! ;o) Here is a link to the preview and her website...

More will be posted soon! I'm super excited to see the rest! If your looking to get pictures done....she's your girl! ;o) (Tara....hope you don't mind me plugging your business....haha)

Anyhow...I should be working instead of blogging....but this is more fun!!! I'll write more soon!

Sunday Already?!

How is it that without fail, EVERY weekend flies by so quickly?!?! I very rarely feel ready for Monday when it arrives, and this week is no exception!

We did have a pretty busy weekend, or should I say a busy Saturday! Yesterday was crazy! We got up early and Isaiah was feeling pretty much back to his "normal" self thankfully....he wanted to go to his soccer game, and since the doctor gave us the okay the day before (if he was feeling up to it, since he wasn't contagious) we figured we'd let him play! The first half of our day was soccer since both boys had their games fairly close together. Then we went to some friends' house yesterday evening for dinner and trick or treating! The kids had such a blast.....they got ridiculous amounts of candy...got sugared up, then crashed! (Thank you "J" family for having us over!) They went to bed late....so naturally you would assume that they may sleep in....but no! 6:30am we are up watching "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs." Daylight savings time I'm sure had something to do with that....but still, it's Sunday!!!

So today we "lounged." It has been way to long since we've had a day to do NOTHING! It was great...especially since, I'm tired! The kids played, ate candy
(of course) and it's now 7:30pm and 2 out of my 3 kids are out!! I think I need to take advantage of that and go to bed early! I'm going to "try" and work extra this week since "so far" (knock on wood) my week actually looks pretty good...as in not a million things going on! Although I am getting ready to start trying to wean Aliana on nighttime nursing sessions....this may be interesting since she's still not too happy that we're done during the day. I have a feeling I'm going to be losing some sleep. So on that note...I'll think I'll go lay down and read or watch a movie!

Here are the kiddo's last night!

Happy Halloween!

The kids are going crazy in anticipation of Halloween!!! (well the boys....Aliana of course could care less). Isaiah is sick again though....I took him in to the doctor this morning and he has strep throat again and a pretty bad ear infection. He is on Augmentin for that, they also put him on Tamiflu in case there some H1N1 (swine) in there as well. We're going on 2 months of sickness in our household! We've all got to get well soon...right?

This year for Halloween...Kaleb is Ironman, Isaiah is Wolverine (again...same as last year), and Aliana is a ladybug! We've got a busy day of soccer tomorrow, although I'm not sure that Isaiah is going to attend his game. Then we are going to some friends' house for dinner and trick or treating fun with them and their kiddos! Should be lots of fun!

In this picture Kaleb is a ninja....this was before he "fully" decided what he wanted to be. This was last weekend for a Harvest Party at Isaiah's preschool!

Here are some pictures of the kids carving pumpkins....

Here we go!!!

I'm brand new to this whole "blogging" thing! Although I've been interested in giving it a try for quite some time...I've put it off! But with the holidays approaching and life just being plain busy I figure this is a great way to keep everyone up to date on the "happenings" in the Vakaloloma household!!! I will try to keep this up to date and current and add pictures of the kiddos regularly!
